Current Development Stage

FireMatch Empire is currently under development within the EA0.1 Plan Phase.

Within the EA0.1 plan phase,
development is further divided into multiple sub-phases.

The project is currently in the EA0.1 → EA0.00 sub-phase.


EA0.1 is not a single, instant milestone.
It is a planned development phase composed of multiple sub-phases.

Under the current plan, the EA0.1 phase includes:

  • EA0.00 — Initial structure and rule construction
  • EA0.05 — Transitional phase where core systems take shape
  • EA0.06 — Intermediate validation phase (implementation not yet confirmed)
  • EA0.1 — Phase integration and overall evaluation checkpoint

These sub-phases describe the order of development focus and shifting priorities,
and do not automatically correspond to any public release form.


At present, development is focused on EA0.1 → EA0.00.

Key characteristics of this sub-phase include:

  • Foundational world and system structures are being established
  • Core rules and object relationships are being defined and engineered
  • Logical closure between systems is still forming
  • Most content is not yet playable or experience-ready

This stage prioritizes structural validity,
not experiential completeness.


EA0.1 Does Not Automatically Mean a Playable Release

It is important to state clearly:

  • Whether EA0.1 will ultimately be released as the first playable or deliverable version
    has not yet been decided.

Therefore:

  • The EA0.1 plan phase ≠ a guaranteed public release
  • Completion of EA0.1 sub-phases ≠ automatic player access

The decision to convert EA0.1 into an actual playable release
will depend on development progress, system stability,
and overall project judgment.


During the EA0.00 sub-phase, development efforts are concentrated on:

  • Construction of world structure and map systems
  • Rule definitions for cities, buildings, roads, and core objects
  • Engineering implementation of relationships between civilization, ages, and systems
  • Prototyping and validation of key systems and rule closure

These efforts primarily occur at the structural, rule, and system layers,
rather than content volume, balance tuning, or visual polish.


The following are not primary goals of the EA0.00 sub-phase:

  • Large-scale content expansion
  • Numerical balance or difficulty curve tuning
  • Fully polished user interface and interactions
  • Long-duration, continuous playable experiences

These elements may be introduced in later sub-phases,
but they are not criteria for completion at the current stage.


As development progresses,
when the project’s primary focus clearly shifts,
this page will be updated accordingly.

Any adjustments, merges, or skips within the EA0.1 sub-phase plan
will be communicated through Progress Announcements.


This page exists to answer one question:

“Where is FireMatch Empire currently within its EA plan?”

It does not serve to:

  • Promise release dates
  • Guarantee playable forms
  • Preview specific future sub-phase content
