This document is an official 【Progress】 phase-completion announcement
within the FireMatch development progress archive.

It confirms a completed stage-level fact:

The core gameplay loop of FireMatch Empire
has, at this point in time, been fully defined, reasoned through, and logically closed,
and is confirmed as the foundational loop upon which all subsequent systems and content expansions will be built.


On 2025-12-01 【PST】, FireMatch completed the formal definition and closure judgment
of FireMatch Empire’s core gameplay loop.

At this stage, the loop no longer existed merely as a concept or a set of isolated experiences,
but was explicitly recognized as a base structure capable of repeated operation
and of supporting long-term expansion.


At this stage, the core gameplay loop of FireMatch Empire was established as the following closed cycle:

Exploration → Naming → Resources → Cities → Construction → Population → Technology → Records → Exploration

The meaning of this loop is as follows:

  • Players enter unknown spaces through exploration and obtain world fragments that can be understood
  • Through naming, players transform “the world as seen” into “the world as owned by the civilization”
  • Resources, cities, construction, and population form the material basis of civilizational operation
  • Technology is not a checklist to be unlocked, but the manner in which civilizational understanding unfolds
  • Records solidify civilizational changes that have already occurred into traceable history
  • History, in turn, becomes the motivation and directional guide for the next cycle of exploration

The endpoint of the loop is not victory or completion,
but the advancement of the civilization into a new state of understanding and structure,
which naturally leads into the next round of exploration.


At this point, the core gameplay loop was judged to be “closed” based on the following criteria:

  • The loop has a clear starting point and a repeatable endpoint
  • Each stage produces outcomes that can be meaningfully consumed by the next stage
  • The loop does not rely on punitive mechanics to maintain progression
  • The loop can be initiated and sustained even with limited content volume
  • Future systems will not alter the loop’s skeleton, but will embed into and enrich its stages

This announcement does not indicate that:

  • All gameplay systems have been implemented
  • All numerical tuning, pacing, or experiential details have been completed
  • Each stage of the loop will not be further expanded or refined
  • The game has entered a playable or releasable state

This announcement exists solely to confirm that:

The structural skeleton of FireMatch Empire’s core gameplay loop has been established and fully closed,
and from this point forward serves as the foundational premise for all subsequent system design and content decisions.

are developed on the premise that this core gameplay loop has already been established.
