Official Announcement
Section titled “Official Announcement”This document is an official 【Progress】 stage-achievement announcement
within the FireMatch development progress archive.
It confirms a completed fact:
The ten-age technology system of FireMatch Empire
has completed overall logical closure confirmation
across civilizational paths, age progression, structural logic, and design premises,
and no longer relies on undefined assumptions or future design patches to stand.
I. Core Premise for the Technology System’s Logical Closure
Section titled “I. Core Premise for the Technology System’s Logical Closure”FireMatch Empire explores a purely wood-based civilizational path.
Along this path:
- There is no oil, coal, or metal
- There is no magic, supernatural force, or unexplainable energy source
This is not a design choice made to artificially increase difficulty,
but a civilizational direction fundamentally different from the dominant routes of real-world history.
Wood is not an early-stage material discarded by progress,
but a long-term core medium that runs through structural, social, and technological layers.
Civilization begins with early adaptation to the natural environment,
and gradually develops more complex organizational forms, engineering structures, and large-scale construction capacity.
What FireMatch Empire truly attempts to answer is not:
When will wood be replaced?
But rather:
If wood remains the core material of a civilization,
what will that civilization ultimately become?
II. Overall Validity of the Ten-Age Technology System
Section titled “II. Overall Validity of the Ten-Age Technology System”On 2025-12-19 【PST】, FireMatch Studio internally confirmed that the following facts had been established:
- The ten ages are continuous and self-consistent in
temporal order, civilizational needs, and cognitive evolution - Each age possesses:
- A clear civilizational theme
- A corresponding direction of technological expansion
- An intrinsic motive that naturally transitions into the next age
- There are no design ruptures that require external intervention, leap assumptions, or retroactive patches to reach later ages
The role of technology within the system was uniformly defined as:
- Technology is not a feature unlock list
- Technology is not the result of a designer’s subjective invention
- Technology is the outcome of civilization being perceived, understood, and recorded through long-term practice
III. Design Origins and Real-World Reference Notes
Section titled “III. Design Origins and Real-World Reference Notes”During the design of the technology system,
the project systematically referenced various forms of wood-based civilizations that have existed or once appeared in Earth’s history,
organizing, abstracting, and extrapolating their material logic, engineering methods, social organization, and technological limits.
Relevant research has been compiled as a design reference:

Read Essay
These references are not used to replicate any real civilization,
but to ensure that the technological evolution path of FireMatch Empire:
- Adheres to modern scientific principles
- Respects material physics and engineering logic
- Does not rely on fantastical or unverifiable assumptions
This represents another possible form of civilization extrapolated under real physical constraints.
IV. What “Logical Closure Completed” Specifically Means
Section titled “IV. What “Logical Closure Completed” Specifically Means”The term “logical closure completed” in this announcement does not mean that:
- All technology content has been fully written
- All technology values have been finalized
- All ages have entered engineering implementation
Instead, it confirms that the following four conditions have been met:
-
Rational Age Origins
Each age can naturally emerge from the civilizational state of the previous age,
without relying on leap-based premises or external injections. -
Internal Age Consistency
Technologies within the same age do not negate one another or produce logical contradictions or collapses.
Technological expansion aligns with the civilization’s available materials, organizational capacity, and cognitive level. -
Convergent Age Endpoints
The completion of each age produces a sense of cognitive “completion” for the civilization,
and provides clear, explainable conditions for transition into the next age. -
Complete Technology Prerequisite Chains
Every technology is derived from a clear and traceable prerequisite system,
with no spontaneous appearances, missing inheritances, or skipped cognitive steps.
The emergence of technology always reflects a natural extension of existing understanding,
rather than a feature forcibly inserted by designers.
V. Relationship to Subsequent Systems
Section titled “V. Relationship to Subsequent Systems”The confirmation of logical closure for the ten-age technology system establishes the prerequisites for the following systems:
- Age-contextualized and personalized technology literature
- Age-bound structures for Civilization Chronicles, City Chronicles, and Building Chronicles
- Age monuments and phase-based civilizational memory systems
- Late-game core designs focused on “understanding civilization rather than mere expansion”
These systems are not equivalent to being already implemented at this stage,
but their conditions of existence have been established at the technology-system level.
VI. Phase Boundary Clarification
Section titled “VI. Phase Boundary Clarification”This announcement does not indicate that:
- The technology system is frozen and no longer adjustable
- Technology order cannot undergo local refinements
- All technologies will necessarily ship in their current form
This announcement solely confirms that:
The ten-age technology system
now possesses a complete logical framework suitable as a long-term development foundation.
VII. Phase Attributes
Section titled “VII. Phase Attributes”- Type: 【Progress】
- Nature: System-level logical closure confirmation
- Overwritable: No
- Constitutes a commitment: No
Historical Positioning
Section titled “Historical Positioning”This announcement marks FireMatch Empire’s technology design transitioning:
From a collection of per-age concepts,
into a unified system capable of carrying complete civilizational evolution.
All subsequent designs involving technology probability systems, personalized technology literature,
and the influence of civilization character on technological evolution paths
are built upon the premise that this stage has already been completed.
