Positioning of This Page
Section titled “Positioning of This Page”Current Direction Planning is used to explain the development focus and reasoning priorities of FireMatch Empire at the current stage.
It is important to be explicit:
- This page is not a feature list
- This page is not a schedule
- This page does not constitute any commitment regarding future content, release dates, or completion status
What is described here are directional judgments made at the current stage.
The Question This Section Answers
Section titled “The Question This Section Answers”This section answers only one question:
“At the current stage, which directions do we believe should be prioritized next?”
It does not answer:
- Whether all of these directions will ultimately be implemented
- When any of these items will be completed
- Whether these designs will appear in their current form in the final game
Current Development Focus
Section titled “Current Development Focus”Current Focus: EA0.00 Sub-Phase
Section titled “Current Focus: EA0.00 Sub-Phase”At present, FireMatch Empire’s development focus is clearly concentrated on the EA0.00 sub-phase.
EA0.00 is an internal development phase aimed at establishing structure and rules.
Its core concern is not playability or presentation, but whether:
- The foundational structure of the world and systems is valid
- Core rules are clearly defined and engineerable
- Inter-system relationships remain logically closed when scaled up
At this stage:
- A large portion of content is not yet in an experiential state
- UI, presentation, and onboarding are not priorities
- Prototyping, abstraction, and incomplete states are explicitly allowed
EA0.00 has a single objective:
To determine whether this civilization simulation structure is worth building long-term.
Key Directional Concerns in EA0.00 (Summary)
Section titled “Key Directional Concerns in EA0.00 (Summary)”During EA0.00, directional judgments are primarily focused on:
- Whether core objects and rules are defined with sufficient clarity
- Whether hidden conflicts or irreversible design risks exist between systems
- Whether civilization, city, and building layers have long-term expansion space
- Whether the system remains engineerable and controllable at large scales
This stage is about “whether it holds together”,
not “whether it is fun yet.”
Relationship to Progress Announcements
Section titled “Relationship to Progress Announcements”The specific positioning, boundaries, and status of the EA0.00 sub-phase
are defined in the corresponding progress announcement.

This page does not repeat those details,
and exists solely to describe the directional judgment itself.
Overall Directional Judgment at This Stage
Section titled “Overall Directional Judgment at This Stage”At the current stage, FireMatch Empire’s development priority is not:
- Content quantity
- Playability polish
- Public-facing completeness
But rather:
- Structural validity
- Logical coherence
- Scalability and controllability
Direction planning serves long-term sustainability,
not short-term showcase value.
Relationship to Other Sections
Section titled “Relationship to Other Sections”The following sections together form the core of FireMatch Empire’s public development information structure:
-
Current Status (State)
→ Current Status · State
Explains which stage the project is currently in -
Progress Announcements (Progress / Change)
→ Announcements
Records facts that have already occurred and are irreversible -
Direction Planning (Roadmap)
→ Roadmap
Describes directional judgments and trade-off logic under the current state
Each serves a distinct role,
together describing different facets of the same development process.
Update Principles for This Page
Section titled “Update Principles for This Page”The direction planning page:
- Will be updated
- Allows adjustment
- Allows directional change
However, each update signifies that:
A stage-level judgment has changed,
not merely that “more ideas were added.”
Closing Note
Section titled “Closing Note”Direction planning is not a promise.
It is a stage-specific rational judgment.
Its purpose is to allow external observers to understand:
Why FireMatch Empire chooses to focus on these directions at this moment,
rather than on other possibilities.
